Last week's service was an excellent time. We really want to thank Ps Daniel for sharing God's Word with us and challenging us to greater things for God! Truly we are Dreamers for God and we are gonna do things for God that are even beyond what we can imagine now!

Many have been touched and challenged by the message and I encourage you to keep growing! Get hungry for God's Word, get passionate for God's Name and get excited about reaching out to our friends and being part of the process that changes the destiny of our friends towards God and Eternal Life with Him! =)

What really is worship? Worship is more than just music, it is not just about the drums or guitar or keyboard! Worship is the way we live our life.

Pastor Rick Warren shares a few points for us to remember:

Worship is really about bringing pleasure to God; it is about making God smile =)
Worship is far more than music or style or preference
Worship is for God's benefit, not ours! As we worship, we bring pleasure to God!
Worship is not a part of your life; it is OUR LIFE!

God takes pleasure in us, always remember that! God smiles at us when we praise and worship Him wholeheartedly, when we trust Him completely and when we use the abilities He has given us!

When we have an attitude of praise as we live our daily lives, such as being a good student or when we contribute value to our workplace, we are pleasing God as we make use of our gifts and talents!

So in this week, decide to offer everything you do this week as worship to God =) serve others in love, work hard in school, be creative with your talents and give cheerfully!

Here's a sharing from one of our members at Gen-Y Ministry!

For those of u who don't know. I do go to church. Last night i went to a Christian youth conference. 1 thousand over people in one big hall just singing and jumping around. And the preacher (A person who speaks about how to live ur life properly etc.) was great!. i had the wrong impression of Churches. I initially thought it was boring. I mocked Christians repeatedly in the past. I never thought I'd become one myself.

Going to church every Saturday made me realise i was wasting my life away.It's fun AND good for you. Seriously. Take it from me as a friend.You'll never go wrong in church. With the company around you. You can't go haywire. You'll see your life slowly improve. If you guys wanna give it a try. You can either contact me or just come down to St.Paul's church on every Saturday 3.00PM. Its in upper Serangoon road. Near Heartland mall. Yes you'll find it boring at first. But after awhile you will start to enjoy it.

A Cracked Pot....

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?" "That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them." "For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. So, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

Our Father Lord is exactly like this old woman does, He make use of our "unique" flaw to the best for growing His kingdom. Stay faithful even when you feel that you are not able to give what the rest are giving as long as you already given your best and He will definitely use it to the limit.

God is good all the time!

When we feel guilty, how can we know whether the Holy Spirit is convicting us or Satan is accusing us?

Because this is a fallen world, we do nothing from entirely pure motives. (See article on Depravity.) As the prophet Isaiah said:
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away (Isaiah 64:6).

Because our motivations are always imperfect and our choices often difficult, one of Satan's most effective ploys is to confuse and paralyze Christians with his accusations, putting them out of effective action.

As our accuser and enemy (1 Timothy 5:14-15; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:10), Satan delights in our anxiety and fear. Although we may intellectually accept the premise that no one merits God's grace, Satan knows how to use our emotions to cause us to feel outside of the reach of God's mercy. His accusations are often vague, indefinite, and persistent. They throb like a spiritual migraine. They torment us even after we have acknowledged known wrongs and asked God for forgiveness (1 John 1:9). Whenever we are overwhelmed by guilt feelings that aren't traceable to a specific sin, or whenever feelings of condemnation persist even after we honestly confess them to the Lord, it is reasonable to assume that we are suffering from false guilt -- guilt that is either coming from our own hearts or from our spiritual enemy.

Why can we assume that these feelings of condemnation are not coming from God? The Bible tells us that godly conviction is based on love, not fear. Its purpose is to instruct and to correct, not to torment.

The apostle John wrote:
In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like Him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:17-18).

God is not arbitrary or cruel. He always convicts His children out of love (2 Samuel 12:13; Luke 15:10). Conviction is His tool to bring us to a deeper reliance upon Christ (2 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 2:1-10; 2 Timothy 1:9). His Spirit doesn't overwhelm us with feelings of condemnation for sins that have been confessed and forsaken or for choices that are unavoidably troubling and ambiguous.

When we sin, we will have to live with the consequences of our actions and with the loving correction of the Lord if we do not correct ourselves. Our position as God's children doesn't shield us from responsibility. But the natural consequences of sin will never cause us to lose our family relationship with God or any of the spiritual security that Christ has given us.

We need to always remember that it is not our good works but the blood of Christ that has provided for our every spiritual need (Ephesians 2:4-10). Christ is the foundation of our spiritual freedom and our emancipation from fear. Christ is the reason that Christians, unlike unbelievers, have no need to deny or conceal their sins. The entire price for sins has already been paid by the Lord -- which gives us reason to quickly confess any sin that would damage our wonderful family relationship with God (1 John 1:9).

When we get to heaven, the process of our spiritual perfection will be complete and our motives will be pure (1Corinthians 13:12; 15:49; Hebrews 12:22-23). But in this fallen world, we will always struggle with some legitimate feelings of guilt. Here we wrestle with the tension of knowing that everything we do falls short of perfection. But faith trusts God's promises. It is willing to go forward in spite of uncertainty (Hebrews 11:1,6), to be a good steward of God's gifts (1 Peter 4:10), and to be as fearless of God's wrath as a child is of a loving Father (Matthew 25:24-26).

Lets do our best! In everything we do, let us honour God! This verse is so radical! Wow - "every detail"! It is such a simple verse but it is going to have such a powerful impact on the way we live our lives!

Now when you don't feel like paying attention to your teacher during class, or don't feel like putting in the effort to study for your exams, or if you feel like shouting back or being rude to your parents - DON'T!!!

Instead, do the right thing, do what Jesus would do if He was in your shoes. Remember this phrase: WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Thank God all the time, that He is by your side, loving you and giving you the strength to do what you cannot do.

Live a live that shows the people around you how special and important Jesus is in your life! Dare to be different, dare to follow God's standards and God's way of living life! So now remember, do it for God!

Do everything in a way that is going to please God and bring a smile to His face, after all, He is our heavenly Father and He always intends the best for us!

The trials of life come to us in many forms- be it stress, exams, relationship problems, money issues etc.

But in fact, let us praise God and thank Him when trials come our way. Because suffering produces in us a reward of character-building, faith-building and trust-building in the goodness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

God never said that life would be easy, but He did promise us His Holy Spirit to give us the strength to go through it! Imagine that! We have the privilege to live life in the power of God! That is an awesome thing!

So when trials come, remember that it is for our good, to produce good character in us, to test us and let us see what we really are on the inside. Use times of troubles to build up your relationship with God – pray to Him to use the time to build you up and make you a stronger Christian. Use the time too to build up your relationship with fellow Christians - ask them to pray for you and support you with advice and guidance.

Nothing is ever wasted when we do it for God! Not even troubles! So now look at troubles as opportunities to help you become more like our Saviour, Jesus!
